One of the first things Apollo did after settling into Kura’in was wheedle Datz into bed. Apollo had known him from childhood– a friend of his father. Apollo didn’t know how close they’d been– didn’t care.
Datz was slow, careful, gentle. “Is that good? Is that alright?”
Apollo murmured, whimpered, grabbed the pillows– nodding and begging for more. “Please, uncle Datz…”
When Apollo finally came– shuddering with relief–he grabbed Datz around his strong shoulders and sobbed desperately into his chest. Datz shushed him and kissed his face and petted his hair.
And that had been the point all along.
